Hi All,
Could somebody please help me on this one?

The new Photos app looks excellent. But when a copy a photo from Photos, and paste it into desktop or an external harddisk, the file size getting reduced drastically. Its not actually copying the full size file.

For eg, a 6MB file which is there in photos, when I copy it to Desktop or EHD, the file size reduces to 300Kb something.

Can somebody help me how can I copy the full size file without losing information?

Thanks

If you're doing a Command+C of the image in the Photos browser, you are making a copy of the thumbnail image. If you do a drag-and-drop from the Photos browser to another application, you'll get either a scaled or full-sized JPG of the image, depending on the application. You'll have the best control over the type/quality/size of the exported images if you use the File > Export function. If you're shooting RAW or want the unedited original JPG, then File > Export > Export Unmodified Original...
