I just came back from vacation and wanted to rip photos on a PC to show them to my family. I did this through DCIM folders. I noticed that I miss a lot of photos. The pictures from the middle of the holiday were gone. I do not use iCloud, I have not done synchornization with iTunes, I restarted the phone, I tried the dr.fone application, nothing helps! What to do? these photos are very important to me - they were my first vacation with my mother. Help :(

Have you looked in your iphone’s “Recently Deleted” photo album? Also, why don’t you use iCloud to automatically back up those things that are important to you, such as photos?

Putting your phone in your pocket accidentally without locking it can cause all sorts of mayhem.

I once lost my Numbers app with all its documents and several other apps a while back. I have no idea how they got deleted. The problem (HUGE problem) with iOS is that applications store their data in the app and it's super easy to accidentally delete an app.

So I leaned my lesson. Keep all documents in iCloud and turn restrictions on (prevent app deletions) to prevent accidentally deleting an app.

But the photos app can't be deleted, so something else happened. I've had stuff randomly disappear on my iPhone too. Gone forever without any user input. Sucks.

I've been using an iPhone's for over 10 years, I've never had anything like this :( But it's a good motivation to increase my gb limit and store in the cloud ... It is a pity that this lesson is so sad.

Thank you all for your interest!

Maybe try third party data recovery application before giving up. Back the thing up first so do you don't lose what you still have.

Then search on "data recovery iPhone photos stored on Windows desktop" or something like that and then ask around on forums like this about applications that a search turns up.

Sometimes it's just a glitch in directory on your hard drive, the stuff is there but the directory doesn't recognize it. Not all such errors prove fatal, i.e. attention-getting at the time the error occurs. You could be missing other data unrelated to your photos as well that you might not be aware of.
