Photos ‘disappeared’

Hi.. I am hoping someone can help.
I have an iPhone 11 running at iOS 14.4 and today all my photos dated December 31st 2020 and earlier have disappeared. They aren’t in my deleted folder and aren’t saved on the iCloud either.
Apple support aren’t able to help further as they say sometimes glitches on the server can happen and the photos are non recoverable!
I’ve lost some very sentimental photos that I am desperate to get back.
Can anyone help?

Hey! That sounds really strange. I'm sorry that you lost all your photos. :/ Is there the possibility that you have once made an itunes backup or anything like that? maybe that could be a solution?

Does Photos see them if you connect your phone?

Hopefully you have back-up your phone at some point.

Try a recovery app like iMazing.
