Photos from iPhone to iMac

My original iMac G5 has gone kaput, and I have moved what I could from my phone and comp to my new/used G5. One thing I lost was all of my photos. i'm afraid that when I sync my phone to the new comp it will wipe out all of the previous info. How do I either:
1. Move all info frmo my iphone to my new comp, or
2. Move only the photos on my phone to my new comp?
