It's gotten to the point where it's incredibly difficult to tell if people are joking when they profess their hatred or adoration for Apple.
I'm just gonna put this here for posterity.

I am on team positivity and I'm happy to come into this thread and see more sanity than hatefulness.

Wow this has just turned into the ijustine thread. She’s ok, nice to look and and very passionate about tech. I watch her videos occasionally though can see why some may find her annoying.

She's actually a very genuine person.
Genuine is subjective as very few other words: that’s just an opinion.
With respect to all of the hate (Apple, iJustine, etc...), it's genuine. Seems to be going around from people that are perpetually unhappy with life. It's an opportunity to elevate one's feeling of sense of self-worth. For a minute or two.
Oh, you gave that post such a backfiring twist:

How easy isn’t it to bash on the critics, the cynics, the non-followers and the rebels. They all have their function by using their right to express things that others might grasp only after years have gone by (if they are lucky).
The best of all is that they at least express their opinion on subjects in the centre of attention of the crowd.

You seem to be needing to pump up your ego by criticising them - the ones next to you in the crowd. Can you see how what you say applies to yourself more than to them? Please think and say yes, it would make a big difference!!

Some people just live to troll. I won’t quote the post earlier even, because that is all some of these people want I am sure. But not too hard to figure out where the vitriol is. If you hate the brand and the management so terribly. Do us, (ok me, and maybe some of us) a favor; leave. It is just impossible these days to escape individuals with nothing of value to add to the discussion. And negatives or cons can, and do, bring much to a discussion. But there is such a difference in dissenting opinion and what some seem to live to post on here.

Nice try. I was responding to a post. It's always the same people. Year after year after year.

I’m not subscribed to her channel but sometimes I watch some of her videos when I see a related video or something like that. I like that she is a little more serious now, she used to play a little dumb to be funny which was really annoying to me but now I can watch her videos. I agree that she overreacts a little for everything but that’s her style, I guess.

This year I felt like there were a lot of scholarships.. do scholars get invited to next years’ WWDC?

The staff were super ecstatic this year, my fiancé commented that they were likely high on something...

It was fun, the dancing and train dancing were hilarious. That said, a lot of attention was paid to the scholarship winners. I’m not being bitter, but I sometimes wish that I had such opportunities growing up.

Overall a good time, but a lot to learn and take in.

Tim beat me with the price. I had expected the Mac Pro to start at 7999.

Yep. It’s even tempting to think of the internet as one big dustbin for collecting up societies miserable miscreants. But then, I think there’s something else at work beyond that. I’m perpetually unhappy with life too, but don’t want to go around interacting with people irl like some self-righteous angry mope, so it seems useful to redirect all that angst and dump it into the internet, leaving my real life personality kind, patient, sweet, daisy fresh. I remember before the internet, just bottling it up. Maybe that’s why everyone died of heart attacks in their 50s.

Although, lately I’ve started to notice by the pessimism in my posts when I’ve been spending too much time at work online and not enough time outside in the sunshine & exercising.

I wonder if any of this is healthy.

I winder if any of this is healthy.

I suppose everyone different wit how they handle things. It also depends on what you define as happy, I like my life and if I didn’t I would try to change the bits that I didn’t like.

I think there’s a balance to be had as well. I exercise, I run most days for miles at a time, it does wonders not only for the body but also for the mind.
