Hey Guys,
I did the Catalina update on my mid 2009 mbp 13" and now my photos app is really weird. First of all I don't have the button photos (were all photos are located) and my iCloud photos are not refreshing, so I don't have my newest photos that I took 3 days ago. I tried to fix it by turning off the iCloud photos in the system preferences and than turning it back on, but all of this didn't work. I really don't know what I am doing wrong.

Seems like this is a common issue with those who use Hackintoshes or install Catalina on an incompatible Mac. The Photos.app application will not view "Photos" (all photos) because it seems to depend on the video driver to render properly.

I have tested this by booting Catalina in Safe Boot on my (compatible) 2015 rMBP, where macOS uses a generic video driver, not the proper video driver for the hardware, and the Photos.app application does not show "Photos" or all photos.

Do you think there is a patch for this behavior

I have this exact same issue on my Catalina Virtual Machine running in Parallels. The graphic card is a totally logical explanation. Curiously a Mojave Virtual Machine on the same computer does not have this issue.
