I git my iPhone yesterday and set it up... everything is working pretty well and the dust is settling... however, my photos are not syncing between my phone and my Mac Studio... previous phone worked flawlessly, but nothing is syncing to my Mac. I think I've checked all of the settings, but can't figure this one out... any ideas?

Photos seem to be an issue, anecdotally, in general. My photos all downloaded, but it's been scanning my library for over 24 hours, kept it plugged in and on wifi all day.

FWIW, logging out of iCloud and back in seems to have solved it... this was the 2nd time I did that dance... wonder if the issues with activation and iCloud/messages/FaceTime had something to do with the glitch...

It worked for a bit, and then stopped again... I noticed a message at the bottom of the Photos app on the phone that syncing was paused to save battery life... Phone was charged to 83% and on wifi at the time... wtf, Apple? And how to fix... don't see a setting for that anywhere in Settings...

There wasn't a Resume option on that paused message?

Having the same issue of photos not syncing with the icloud. I logged out and back, then worked for a bit, but now it's not doing anything. Only option is to pause. The thing I hate about logging out and logging back in is that I have to re-register my credit cards in Apple Pay. I also did a reset network settings, but that did nothing.

The main issue for me is my iPhone 14 pro max photos are all syncing to iCloud without any issues, however the same photos are not available in Photos app in Mac. I have tried all the settings, logging in and out of iCloud on phone and Mac. But nothing seem to work. The photo streaming folder only shows photos till October (sept to oct 2002) and the library does not pull the recent photos from iCloud. I have not selected iCloud photos in preferences of the photos app deliberately because I don't want duplicate photos now to be uploaded to iCloud. ( we all know the weird apple implementation wherein original photos were being sent to iMac photos app and not the edited version. Clicking the iCloud photos options will upload all these variant photo version to the iCloud. ) I have the "Photostream" and "Shared Album" options enabled.
Please let me know if anyone is facing a similar problem and if anything worked. This is really frustrating. Never had this issue in any of the phone upgrades. Not sure if its the phone problem or not since the photos are being pushed to iCloud .

Did you try to logout of your iCloud account on the Mac, then log back in? Then do the same on the web iCloud?
