Photos not uploading

Finally got new iMac so I have decided to upload all the photos I have to my iMac. But for some reason those photos are not being uploaded to iCloud and I am not sure why? I think I have everything set up correctly.

Does photos app need to be on our off or is there anything that I can do to start upload

It could take a week to upload the photos. iCloud uploading won't all happen at once. Wait a while and get back to us next week.
