There are some photos circulating around the Internet today that supposedly picture a new Modern Buckle Apple Watch band in a color combination that doesn't currently exist, but it appears the image is simply a Pink Modern Buckle in poor lighting.

In the original photo, a yellow tint causes the Pink Modern Buckle band to look tan, a shade similar to the existing "Stone" color of available with the Leather Loop and the Apple Watch Sport, but when that tint is removed through color correction, it's clear the Apple Watch band in question is indeed a muted pink shade.

While the images shared today do not provide a hint at what's coming at the March 15 event, we do know that it's likely to include a Space Black Milanese Loop, which was accidentally leaked on the Czech Republic Apple Watch site in January. There have also been rumors suggesting Apple is introducing at least one entirely new band, which may be made from nylon.

Apple's rumored March 15 event will be used to debut new Apple Watch bands, but we'll also see at least two new products. Apple plans to unveil both the 4-inch iPhone 5se and the iPad Air 3. The iPhone 5se is rumored to be a cross between an iPhone 5s and an iPhone 6, with an A9 processor, improved camera, and Touch ID support for use with Apple Pay. The iPad Air 3 is said to be taking on many of the features of the iPad Pro, including its four-speaker design and Smart Connector for accessories.

I'm still trying to get my mind around the idea that rumors about Apple now include discussion of the color of a stupid watch band. Hi tech indeed! lol

We used to discuss the color of the iPods, and before that, of the iMacs and iBooks... is this really any different?

i still can't comprehend anyone buying an apple watch band. go on amazon or eBay and get something better for $20... that's all a damn watch band is worth anyways unless it's gold... apple's selling stainless steal for the cost of the damn watch itself

it's probably not big or sparkly enough. make it 50mm and put crystals all over the case (give it a wa-jazzle?) and it'll be all over essex.

Better is obviously subjective. I own an Apple Watch. Got the black sport band with it. Wanted the Link Bracelet. £449 was steep and like you suggest I went on the hunt for a cheaper version checked forums for suggestions, Reddit.

Tried a few from eBay and Amazon - they ranged from £59 to £129. They all sucked (poor colour/anodising, poor material quality, poor construction, inconsistent gaps between bands etc.). Some I sent back, others seemed ok and then broke. In the end just bought the Apple version, had no issues and have no regrets.

Maybe that's all they're worth to you.

As I mentioned some of the cheap alternatives to the Link Bracelet I tried used pretty crummy materials. On one of them a pin holding the links together broke. Something I've never had happen on my analogue watches or Apple Link Bracelet (which has been fine for a few months now).

It's like saying all a small car is worth is £6k because you can pick up a Kia for that. Nobody should buy a Fiat 500 for over £11k with better handling, interior etc. because all we need to do is get from A to B and the Kia will save you nearly 50%... Some of us appreciate the added extras.

It's really kind of unbelievable actually. Instead of some improved tech, 18 months after Apple introduced the current tech to the public, the best they can do is offer some new colored band options?

Is the thought that someone who has been on the fence about buying the watch is going to rush out and buy it because they finally have a Space Black Milanese Loop?

If these rumors are true it will be a major disappointment. If nothing else, at least give it a processor speed bump like the Macs do -- something that addresses the technology!

It just still makes no sense why a watch band costs more than the watch. It's all crap materials. They're not worth hundreds. I've been wearing a $35 Vans embrocadero stainless steel watch everyday for years now. $35 and the whole thing looks and works great. There's no reason the knockoffs can't make a high quality stainless or leather band for less than that.
