Photos on the iPhone

Basically, I have all my photos organised into "Events" in iPhoto, but it seems the iPhone only shows up Albums like on the iPod, is this the case or can I sync Events and when choosing an album will it appear as an event?

you have to use albums, but you can automatically make albums that will include your entire event in each album. I would tell you exactly how to do this but I'm at a carwash posting from my iPhone. I figured out how to do hi quite easily and I'm sure you will do the same.
