Messages is no longer an option when sharing photos from the photo. I looked in the more section and don’t see a way to toggle it on. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

That’s really odd, I tested out different photos in my Photos app and it gives me the Messages option. Even tried with both camera app photos and screenshots. Did you try a hard reset?

Yeah, driving me nuts. I looked in the "more" menus and there's nothing there. My coworker has the same issue as I do. Thanks for the reply

Not a problem. Just a quick check though, go into your Messages settings and make sure “MMS Messaging” is toggled on. It could have been toggled off somehow.

That setting was on but I toggled off/on and still same issue.

How many photos are you trying to share at once? The share sheet hides the Messages option when you've selected more than 20 photos. Work around is to send batches of 20 photos at a time.

I know it's offtopic but... nice pics man!
I should mention, the rainbow hand and guy sitting on the tree are not mine and are from Apple’s Shot on iPhone campaign (yeah, bummer... they’re the best ones here?)

But the rest I took with my iPhone 7! The first set earlier this week!

When you scroll over to the far right side and click on "More" - do you see Message in that list at all? It is working for most, but obviously you're not alone having the issue. Kinda sounds like a iMessage activation thing - maybe turn it off, check that Send as MMS is enabled, etc.

Turning iMessage off does not do anything

Found this in another thread for you all. Hope it helps.

I have this exact problem. It's due to the device management of my mobile devices. iOS profiles have been installed that change the behavior of a few apps. For example, when I open a picture using the Photos app and choose to 'send it' to someone else, 'message' is not an option, but email is. My workplace has also inhibited the ability to open certain files from the Mail app.

Under Settings ==> General ==> Device Management, do you have profiles installed?

When I remove these profiles, I'm able to send photos from the Photos app via the Messages app.

thanks

Aha! Not exactly my work... lol

But I see Messages as an option, thank you
