Hi,

I am trying to transfer my iPhone photos and videos to the Photos app but every time I plug it, it says, unlock iPhone. I have turned off the Mac, turned off the iPhone, unplug, replug, force quit photos... I'm out of ideas!

I uninstalled avast that was installed in case it was causing it...

I was able to see its content, import and delete after import but it only imported 61 out of 332 and its stuck there and the iPhone is again stuck on unlock.

Anyone ran into this issue?

iPhone 8 latest OS and Catalina latest OS.

Thanks!

It's good that you uninstalled Avast since you don't need it anyway as it's one of the worst intrusive AV apps there is. Instead of importing to Photos, try using your Image Capture app to import the photos and videos. Once they're imported, you can then move them to your Photos Library. Also make sure your iPhone is not timing out and self locking. Set the time to lock to none temporarily. Once the photos and videos are moved you can reset it.

Oh great, that looks like its going to work.

How easily can the videos and photos be deleted from the iPhone after since I do not have a delete after import option?

Thanks
