I used manual focus. I pressed over the fence and as I went up the camera, I pressed over the water to focus on the water and add slowmotion.

Edit: Nestled amongst my vast collection of Jerry Garcia ties. Now there's a bit of irony here. I rarely wear ties. It's been at least 20 years since I've worn a tie (except for a bolo).
