Not sue if this is the right place, there are so many to chose from, but here goes.

In Photos, when you run a video you get the option to "TRIM". So far I have only managed to trim one end or the other of the clip but is it possible to trim a bit out of the middle please?

Thanks.

No, you can't. You would have to Trim and save the sections either side of the bit that you don't want, and then re-combine them into one video. You're probably better off dragging the video out of Photos onto the Desktop and doing it in Quicktime.

Cheers Dave. I just found iMovie in my applications and managed it there! I didn't know Quicktime was an editor - I'll have a look at that as well!

I believe there’s a option in the edit menu that lets you snip a large clip into as many smaller clips as you like. Snip out the parts you don’t want. Delete them. Recombine the parts you want. Add transitions. Easy peezey.

Thanks Longkeg, no, one can only clip the ends in Photos as mentioned above. There is a bit more flexibility in Quicktime but quite a lot more in iMovie. My question is answered - thanks.
