Photoshop Elements 6 question

I just bought Photoshop Elements 6, could anyone tell me if I need both Camera Raw 5.2 and DNG Converter 5.2 to shoot edit RAW?

Also, do I really need to download the software that came with my new digital camera? (Canon Powershot g10)

Why don't you try PP some RAW images first? If it does not work, then download and install the update. Otherwise, install PSE6, and update it as follows: look for and select "Updates" in the HELP menu.
