photoshop help please!

can anyone make this one pic or somehow teach me to make it not have a little gap in ms word?

when i try to put them in ms word, obv one on top of the other to make it look like 1 logo. there is a tiny gap between them.

He used PhotoShop with each part of the image on it's own layer. The Layer Palette would look something like this:

Next time make the whole icon then export it for the web.
