Ive downloaded the trial for photoshop before and then uninstalled it, at least i thought I did. I downloaded the trial again recently and I got this message:

I've moved everything into the trash and emptied it apart from the trial which I just installed and can't understand why this is happening?

Did you use the official un-installer (like you're supposed to) or did you just trash whatever parts of Photoshop you could find (a bad idea)?

How do I uninstall a trial version? said:
In Mac OS, double-click the product installer in Applications\Utilities\Adobe Installers. Authenticate as an administrator, select Uninstall Components, and then follow the onscreen instructions.

Oh, and re-downloading/re-installing the trial, will probably not work anyway... without more effort (like a OS X reinstall):

Can I extend the trial period longer then 30 days? What happens when the trial period runs out? said:
Unfortunately, you may not extend a trial version once it expires at the end of 30 days, nor can you install another copy of the same trial version onto the same computer to try again.

do a spotlight search for 'Photoshop' & see what results you get. Anything in the list with Photoshop, trash. Run the search again until there are non left & it should be good.
If it persists, then 'File Buddy' could help with searching for hidden files (.filename).
