Photoshop Plugin for Drop Shadow?

I want to create an image and somehow generate a shadow from light from above.

Imagine a bowling ball floating 4" off the ground. I want a shadow underneath the ball so it looks like the ball is 4" off the ground.

Any ideas?

use the existing shadow thingy in photoshop. it's somewhere in blending modes.

You'll really need to do that yourself. A Gaussian blurred oval below the sphere should do the trick though.

Photoshop CS2 (and up, I'm guessing) has a drop shadow generator built-in.

Make an oval on the ground plane, Fill with black, Gaussian Blur as suggested, & Take opacity down to 65-70 %. Should rock you.
