Photoshop Plugin for Drop Shadow?

I want to create an image and somehow generate a shadow from light from above.

Imagine a bowling ball floating 4" off the ground. I want a shadow underneath the ball so it looks like the ball is 4" off the ground. 😀

Any ideas?

use the existing shadow thingy in photoshop. it's somewhere in blending modes.

You'll really need to do that yourself. A Gaussian blurred oval below the sphere should do the trick though.

Photoshop CS2 (and up, I'm guessing) has a drop shadow generator built-in.

Make an oval on the ground plane, Fill with black, Gaussian Blur as suggested, & Take opacity down to 65-70 %. Should rock you.
