Photoshop won't stay open!

I keep opening it and it just keeps closing, i'm on a basically new Macbook, 2.4GHz etc... and photoshop won't stay open, any ideas?

Do you mean it just quits as soon as you open it, or after a while?
Try opening console.app (go to applications/utilities), pressing 'clear display' and then start up photoshop with the console running in the background. Do you get any messages left in the console?
