Photostream! What happened to it?

Help. It's not on IOS 10 anyone know why?

Do you have iCloud photos enabled? Photostream is disabled if iCloud photos is enabled (you can still upload to it for non-iCloud photos enabled devices), but you won't see the photostream itself as its functionality is replaced by iCloud Photos

So I need to disable iCloud photos? And I'll be able to see photos my wife takes while I'm at work? I never had issue until IOS 10

It's been that way since iCloud photos was launched: Did you have it turned on previously? Are you and your wife using the same Apple ID? If so, then if she turns on iCloud photos on her device they'll also appear on yours.

But if you want to use photostream, you'll need to disable iCloud photos

Stupid question, where is settings can I turn this off so I see Photo Stream again? Like the OP, I used to see Photo Stream and every device under my login I took a picture it would upload to all my devices but now I cant figure which setting to change back? I know during iOS10 setup it asked about the cloud, so I must have changed a setting

It still doesn't work well. It sometimes uploads sometimes don't. My wife took 10 photos today and it never uploaded to stream

You and your wife shouldn't be sharing the same Apple ID. You've been using the photo stream feature in a way that wasn't intended and now it's broken because you've turned on iCloud Photo Library. If you want to go back to using photostream then you need to turn off iCloud Photo Library on your device and your wife's device and make sure photostream is turned on in both. If you want to use it iCloud Photo Library you'll have to use it the way it was intended, with seperate Apple IDs each. Then you could create a iCloud Photo album and share your photos there but it won't be automatic, you'll have to manually share them.

I did change the setting to what you said. It still won't automatically upload pictures while on wifi. It always did before IOS 10

...and on your wife's phone? Did she turn iCloud Photo Library off too?

I'm sure it did work but thats the nature of things, they work then break, not the other way around.We get it ;-)
