Not sure if anyone else has this problem.
I noticed that new photo's had stopped downloading to my pc after upgrading iphone/ipad to ios8 and icloud control panel to v4.
if i swich off the photostream section in the control panel, then on again only 5 photo's re-appear in my photostream folder, so i deleted them from my hard drive, and now no photo's show at all.
the shared / family albums work flawlessly, it's only the main photostream folder which won't DL anything.
I called apple who said they couldn't see a problem with my icloud and said there 200+ pics in my photostream then put me through to a second line dept.
after about 1hr of the usual checks / re-install of ICCP, he said he didn't know what was going on and he would fwd the problem onto a Level 3 type team. He called back 10 mins later to say that actually apple were aware of the issue and as soon as he heard anything he would give me a call.
