My Feather+ started to crack near the home button so I decided to buy a cheap glass protector on Ebay. I have ordered the following http://www.ebay.com/itm/Corning-Gor...een-Protector-iPhone-6-Plus-5s-/301394691058?

Surprisingly it is the EXACT same cut as the MIME with the same thickness. The main difference I have found is that the rounded edges around the home button are smoother which is an advantage over the MIME. Lastly, it is cheaper! Overall I'm pretty pleased with it. I'll see how it lasts over time. :)

Just so you see how the cuts are exactly the same :

Ebay listing says it's an antiglare/matte glass protector. Though your picture seems pretty much a crystal clear one.

Any words on that?

And also, arent you concerned that 0.15 mm thickness is just too little? Isnt the advantage of the 0.3mm glasses that they wont break easily and are stronger?

PIC: MIME USA Feather+ Glass

Well it's crystal clear like the majority of the glass protectors on the market. It is identical to the MIME. As for thickness, sure 0.3mm is less fragile but I believe that 0.15mm offers a good compromise between protection & minimalism. Same goes for my case. Either case, whether it is 0.3 or 0.15mm it will break when dropped on the floor, it's the main purpose of a screen protector.

I really like the style of cut and the thinness of the MIME BUT I have to say these are not durable at all.
As I reported earlier in this thread, the one I received was very slightly chipped at the proximity sensor cutout. They were very accommodating and shipped a new glass immediately. I didn't put the new one on when I got it just because I couldn't find the time to let the new glass cure because I have been using my phone a lot.

Tonight I went to dinner and when I got home noticed a crack on the side. It was never dropped or banged against anything. I have absolutely no idea how it cracked. I am very easy on my phones and have never broken one in any way (every model 3G-6).

I just installed the replacement but doubt it will last the duration of my ownership. If this one cracks I will probably go for a thicker version.

On a side note this install didn't have any side lift at all. It was installed exactly like the first one in regards to alignment.

Well, in any case a thin glass one is always better than film, right?

I was thinking that if the screen was to be hit, the glass protector would break and Id have to buy another one, while that wouldnt happen with the film protector.

Well yes it's much better than a film of course both in terms of protection and feel..
