I have done a few searches, but I am not sure how to proceed.
I am a forum administrator (using windows, sorry) but a few of our members do use macs (good choice). But the mac users are having trouble posting pics to the forum, the issue seems to be resizing to fit the forum limits.

What I am hoping for is an easy and quick step-by-step guide to resizing photos to fit the forum limits. The file size is limited to 100kb and for display purposes a max of 640x480 seems best. Is the IPhoto best, what settings?

Thank You
Bruce

The Automator trick is pretty cool, but from what I can tell, it's useful for multiple images.

For the forum users, they likely only need to resize one, perhaps two, images. In this case I would use iPhoto, and the export file feature.

File > Export
Choose file format (.jpg, etc.)
Set desired dimensions
Click 'export'
