HI there!

I know it is a very personal question since I am the only person that "should" know weather to pick the 64gb or 128gb 6s ... but let me still ask for some help.

So right now I am on an 64gb iPhone 6. Since I need a new contract (because the old is running off) I can chose the 64gb for 200€ or the 128gb for 300€.

I would call myself a heavy iphone user and semi/pro photographer (not with the iphone). I travel infrequently (maybe 3-4 times a year) with long fly times. So next week I am flying to south africa (from europe) thats why I loaded like 8 of my favourite movies on the iPhone. With that I sill have 14gb free space. But I still have to add quite a lot of my previous photo work (no RAW files at all - just edited & exported jpgs). Music-wise I do stream (deezer / spotify) + store some of my fav. playlists on the phone (not much)

Then adding Live photos, more pixel on the 6s, possible 4k videos ... for me it sound like I should consider the 128gb 6s shouldnt I? Its not about not being able to afford the +100€ but more "do I really need it?".

What would you guys pick?

I went with the 128G but am thinking about going back and getting a 64G... still in 14 days. If a local store gets the ATT 64G SG in, I may do it. I have the TMobile 128G SG right now, and figure that extra ATT band may help me at some point in the future.

All of that said, I was motivated to go to the 128G because of the larger picture/video/moment sizes vs. previous iPhones. There is nothing worse than being short on space and having to constantly shuffle things around. My Mac is like that right now and it drives me crazy.

4K is not on by default, so to speak. You have to toggle it, I think 1080p@60fps is the default.
64gb is a LOT, if you're into media and you already have experience with 64gb being full rather fast and you require to be able to depend on available space - I'd say investing in 128 is then something to consider. Otherwise, .. I think 64gb isn't full that fast.

I went from 128 GB to 64 GB, when I checked how much I used, I only utilized about 13-14 GB of space, plus I don't keep movies on my phone (I have an iPad for that). So yesterday I went and exchanged from 128 GB to 64 GB. IMO 128 GB is nice but not really needed unless you like to keep stuff. 64 GB is just perfect.

For many people, I'd recommend the 64GB (which is also what I purchased). For you, your media needs seem to be higher than many people, so I'd go for the 128GB.

I think unless you're a company and you want your employers to have access to the intranet through the iPhone or something educational and students need an iPad for just a few things .. nobody would even consider 16GB :p

Depends. Are you going to transfer everything from your old phone to the new one. Pics, videos , ect ? If you start fresh like myself you tend to have enough space. If I put all my music on my iPhone 64GB would be useless to me. So what I'm doing , is doing just my playlist for my work out and use Apple Music now. So everyone is different how they manage stuff. It's really up to you.

What would you everyone recommend me? I have iPad with 128GB and 47,3 GB is left. I know I maybe going to have more music on the phone than on videos that I had on the iPad.

I think it's hard to figure out how much I should survive with.

It's anyone know how much apps for a 6S plus takes and apps for iPad takes? I have understood that it's a difference, I'm I wrong? I heard about app slicing so apps not going to takes so much space anymore. Anyone who know more about that?

Can you show how much your apps takes in space so I can get a better feeling what size I should get?

I have 32 GB now and it's too little for me.

If your coming from a 32 and its to little for you, a 64 will be your better bet. If your coming from a 64 and its to little for you, then 128 would be your better bet......

My take is that I keep ordering 128 GB phones and then upgrade each year thinking I may need the extra space, the reality is I never come close to using half of it, so this year I opted for 64 GB.

For me 128gb will be too large. I go with 64gb iPhone 6s. I don't like to watch movie on a phone, it hurts my eyes. And I hardly record videos. 64gb is enough for me. And I got a software called iMyfone Space Saver for free in case my 64gb iPhone 6s runs out of space LOL( Now it is not free anymore;))

always 128gb. People will say it's excessive, but always 128gb. It gives your phone staying power.
