Last year at the Apple Store, you were allowed 2 iPhones per customer without a pre-order/reservation. Will it be the same this year? Or do you need a pre-order / reservation this year? I waited 9 hours in line last year and was like 15th in line without a pre-order.

You will more than likely be able to wait in line to get an iPhone on launch day with apple and some carrier retail locations. Probably best buy too. But you will have to wait a long time. Lines will be pretty long. Now, the S updates are not as popular as the Number updates. So it wont be as bad as last year.

I'm going to the Sprint store to pick mine up. I never have to wait in a line, and I always get the phone that I want.

4hr wait for me last year, about 30 in the line when I got there. Pre ordered the year.

So much time wasted man, you need to start pre ordering stuff lol. Time is valuable!

I stood in line at noon and got mine at 5. I only waited 5 hours to get mine. Your store might have been short staffed or something if you were actually 15th in line.

The last time I stood in line for anything was when I was in the US Army, and had to. Never since
