I think an app to watch is Picktorial. It is a one module approach with raw converter and editing tools. They are building their own DAM to expand the current browser. The app already has some advanced tools such as edge aware brush and eraser, plus luminosity and color range masking.

One thing I definitely like about Picktorial...it supports DNG Camera Profile (DCP) files for accurate color renditions. I think only Adobe and Iridient Developer also does that.

I don't get free versions or payments from any of them. Not all folks are aware of stuff that is available.

Let's just say I am down to a few left on my Mac that I use. But it could be a brave new world by the end of Q1 2018. ;)

I use LR, Nik (ocassionaly), DXO viewpoint (although I have optics and fimpack as well).

DXO I got free from work. As I did some of the earlier Macphun and Nik (when it was paid). I've got a copy of Pixlemator as well but can count the times on one hand I've used it.
I still have an old copy of OnOne too, but gave up on that years ago.
I just find LR does most of what I need and I'm a lazy editor. If it's not done in a few minutes, I'm done!

I just stumbled across Picktorial today and it has piqued my interest. Searched the forum here and found some other references to this and came across your post. Any more info on the Picktorial DAM?
