The first gull is terrific... really says 'bird' and 'flight'... and the grey and blue background play well together. And the red bal of a sun over the sea; I don't know why the sky goes almost chocolate-brown in these conditions... but it does. The rest? Good memory makers of your trip: basic, good quality snapshots.

i absolutely love the bw of the gull and the pic underneath the bridge. great job!

as for the choco sky, it has to do with dust particles in the air and the angle at which the sun's rays hit them...it makes the reflection in different colours. so, if you watch a sunset, it will change colours slightly.

I've noticed that the 'big red sun' effect happens most often in late summer (late summer in the UK, that is, in years when we HAVE a summer, not just endless rain 🙂). I've assumed that it might be something to do with the hay harvest, putting a lot of dry dust into the air. It's always good to see - and to photograph - 'cos it doesn't last long. And it's really there... it's not just another PhotoShop plug-in!
