It was pretty cool, but I still hold a place in my heart for the 1st Generation commercials. That little music gets me everytime...

Ditto. Remember though, the initial iPhone(first gen) commercial was completely different. Their launch commercials and their regular ad campaign commercials tend to be completely different.

I've got the MBA and the iPhone commercial music set as ringtones, the new 3G iphone commercial needs some new music.

The MBA music I can see, but that classical guitar music IMO not a good ring tone. The iPod Touch music from that kids commercial is better than the iPhone "ding, ding ding ding ding" music. It's good to listen to and when I hear it I think of iPhone and a 'zen' feeling. But not as a ring tone.

I think the iPhone 3g ad was the best I have ever seen from apple, i like it tons.

I have never seen it on TV though...?

I was a little worried about the plastic look, but I think it will look pretty good in person. I have yet to see the 3g ad on tv has anyone seen it yet?

This commercial will always be the most memorable Apple commercial for me. It's from back in 1984 - first broadcast during Superbowl XVIII. It still marks one of Ridley Scott's greatest works.

You know, I will say that commercial (if you relate it to today) has more incommon with today's user base than it did back then.

The mass droves of robotic people is kinda symobolic of Windows/Microsoft's current standing in the mainstream market and how it has a huge grip in that market. Apple still the inovator/revolution instigator trying to show people they don't have to be bound my Windows.

I'm sure something similar was the thinking then, but when you think about it, it actually has more similarity to todays world than it did back then.

I understand that people who are fans if the 2G iPhone are missing the metal back, but I really like the high gloss, uniform back better (that strip of black at the bottom always looked b.a.d. in my eyes). The 3G's back looks really good, in both colors. I dare say I like it better than the metal back.

Yeah I have yet to see the commercial on TV. I bet in 1-2 weeks you will see it very often.

I can't wait to get my hands on it, so close. The uniform back is very nice.

I like the look of the plastic back as well, if the iPhone 3G did have a metal back I would by a cheap plastic cozip cover for the back just like I did with the iPod Touch to keep the metal from getting scratched. As far as I'm concerned Apple just saved me a little time and money.

Awesome, the back is better than before X]
I like it. I would buy it, but I have verizon ._.
