The names of the complications down left and right..the blue ones..TIA Thomas
Simple rule of thumb IMO. If you are a man, go 44...if you are female, go 40. Not saying it would be wrong to do the opposite, just saying that IMO those sizes look the best. Just one person's opinion.Sometimes the 44's look ok and at others it looks like u might as well slap a smaller iphone on your wrist.
Does the 44 seem cumbersome in any way. I was thinking the 44 but maybe I will go with the 40.
I currently have the 42 so I wouldn't be giving up a thing going with the 40.
Nice watches though

I’m going to go into an Apple store and see if they will let me try it on and take it from there. Yes I am a man so we shall see.
To those who are wearing the 44 does it seem cumbersome on your wrist?
I have small 165mm wrists. I wore a S3 42mm and didn’t feel it was too big. The S4 feels and looks no larger IMHO. I took two pictures, one from farther away that looks more like real life and then the typical closer up one where the camera makes the watch look way bigger than real life due to the perspective. Trust the farther away one and use the closer one just for the detail of the watch... this is a S4 44mm SBSS.
Looks really nice, and good to know it is comfortable! Here's a look at my 44mm SBSS with Coach leather strap. The leather is extremely comfortable BTW.
As someone else mentioned, it has more to do with the camera angle and proximity to the lens when photographing the watch on your arm.Sometimes the 44's look ok and at others it looks like u might as well slap a smaller iphone on your wrist.

The 44mm looks great and is both light and small—it looks much larger in the photo closeups!
I'm only 5'8, and my wrists are 170mm circumference, and the 44mm watch has space to spare at head and foot while on my wrist. It does not look oversized. I greatly dislike the look of oversized watches—in a traditional watch, the largest I'll wear is 38mm (circular). Which, by the way, since the Apple Watch is rectangular, 38mm is the WIDTH of the watch face. The height is 44mm. So visually, it does not appear as large as it might if it were a circular 44mm face.
Your best bet though is to go to a store (Apple or wherever) and try them on—44mm and 40mm. See what you like. I really appreciate more screen area and the slightly larger battery.![]()
