Picture-in-picture/ split screen in iMovie HD 6?

i was wondering if Imovie HD has any tools to let me put one video inside of another. i'm trying to record guitar and i want to show the video for two parts at the same time?

if not does iMovie 9 have the ability to cope with HD videos?

You can't do picture in picture with iMovie6HD. Not sure about iMovie9 and HD. Give it a try with a small clip.

2 parts to this, technically iMovie HD (6) can do PiP, but you need some 3rd party plugins that are not free. Can't recall where they are or who they are by, but if you search this forum, I know the links are on here somewhere...probably from a couple to 3 years ago now.

2nd, Jump over to the apple site and see if you can watch some of the iMovie 09 tutorials, or search it on google and see if anyone showcases PiP...I use it, but haven't had the need to do that.

Short of those, you next best step up is Final Cut Express...It does a lot of great effects that iMovie usually doesn't have.
