what the heck is that? is that a motion blur?

Haha, no - that's the view from the soundboard on my grand piano. It's made of a very red cherry wood, hence the rich reds. You can see the dampers coming through at the end. If you look up in the top left, you can see the reflections of the strings

cool shot, very good idea
looks like a model of the lobby of a concert hall, or something Speer was planning to build for Hitler

I thought it was a monster cruise ship upper deck! Amazing how perspective and perception can play tricks with the mind. That's a winner.:)

Thank you & thank you! I enjoy using the camera to show us what we don't or can't normally see - that's why I really wanted a Sony DSC-R1, with that great rotating LCD...

This weekend I was covering the Danish surf championships in Klitmøller for Riders.dk. Unfortunately there wasn't much wind for the windsurf, but I managed to snap this on the friday. The rider is Eddie Salazar.

BTW, great pictures Clix and SRSound

A great image, though some cropping may be in order. That dark spot in the upper left distracts.

I'm having a lot of trouble fully comprehending this one...

Why are the subjects being outlined? Specifically, the head of the guy on the right is clearly being outlined by the glass. Maybe it's just coincedence, but his head, and even nose and chin are being silhouetted. Any ideas?

India Gate at dawn.

Shot this on my last trip to New Delhi, I can't remember how early it was, but I was a little too excited not to go out and see the sights.

Glad to have ya back. Now all we need is iGary, and it's a party.:D

Thanks freebooter, nice image you have there. I too would love to know what is causing the aura around the subjects, especially the one on the left.

This was taken at Riverfest 2006 from Cincinnati's Yeatmans Cove Park looking at Newport, Kentucky. Riverfest is held during Labor Day weekend and is Cincinnati's largest firework show and one of the largest in the country.
