Three Forest Mounds

Here are some tomb mounds located in the forest very close to where I shot yesterday's post.

I didn't realise in Paris that the homeless weren't moved on and away from the high class areas of Paris.

I used to live just around the corner wher you took that picture.

Rue de Rivoli (adjacant to the Louvre) is crowded with homeless people because there is a homless shelter just around the corner (turn right after the dancing scholl sign that you can see on the top of your picture) where they stay at night and during the day they hang around Les Halles, where they can sit on air vents and ask people for change.

At night they get thrown out by the security guys so they hang out on the rue the Rivoli.

I could never get used to the many homeless in Paris…but anyway, back to some more pictures.

Is this one HDR too, or is the R1 just picking up exceptional contrast?

Yongsan Electronics Market

If you want to buy computer stuff in Korea, Yongsan Market has it all (if you don't use Apple  ). Prices can be as much as half of regular retail, especially if it's made in Korea.
This was taken outside one of the main buildings at sunset, stitched from 8 vertical shots. As you can see on the right, these kind of shots are best taken when the subject matter is not moving.

A few cameras and tripods...

A few Nikons and Canons, side-by-side waiting to capture the birdies....

Long lenses mounted on Wimberley Gimbal heads seemed to be the name of the game!

I'm in the middle of a whirlwind European tour, so I've not posted in quite a while. I stumbled across a good internet connection in my room in Naples, so I thought I'd share a recent snap. This is Castle Neuschwanstein in Bavaria, Germany (of the famous King Ludwig II). We lucked into a very nice November day, and the castle was beautiful.
