gloomy sky

An almost B/W sky, at 11:30 AM.
Still don't know what to think of this picture. It keeps popping up when I'm browsing iphoto. Can't decide whether I should like it or delete it. Gnome forest, Uden. f/11 1/250. Canon 350D, 17-40.

Why would you delete it? It's not a bad photo.

Several Ninja broke into our house and trashed our dartboard. Actually, room mate and I playing darts. Or... knives? As you can see, we are not very accurate.

From an "art critique" perspective:

I'm not sure the composition sits well with me - the dark (near solid black) on the bottom far outweighs the lights of the sky, making for an unbalanced arrangement of value.

I shot this pic in the woods behind a rest stop. I really liked the green hue, but am disappointed with the overexposure at the top.

I took a few shots after a recent snow on the Oregon coast... we'll see if I can link to the image...

Haha, not sure if I'll count this as my POTD but I figured it was appropriate ;)

I don't have the exif, but it's probably a safe bet that it was at 2.8

I'll own a mini some day...along with an M6....but for now my 3 series will do...

ps...don't hate on me for the confederate flag...I'm removing it as soon as summer rolls around... :)

It will be so worth the wait - I've never had so much fun driving. (Although you might want to tthink about swapping the flag plate for a union jack ;))

Ok, so here is the last of the Delirium Show. That I'll post anyway.
Just got a new toy 55-200 that I need to go play with. :)
This woman was amazing with the Hula-Hoops, she moved so fast.

Late afternoon made exposing for the rock a bit difficult without blowing out the rest of the pic, so I went for the contrasty look.

On my way home last month I stopped to catch a last-minute view of the Pacific from a fairly high vantage point. The sun was already gone, but I thought I'd try to see what I could get hand-held with the D50 and kit lens.

Use a grey graduated neutral density filter next time :)

I like it. Works for me. Even if it seems to violate the 'rule of thirds'.

Really like this one - would've been better had the yellow ticket not been in the front window, had there been a few more trees in the reflection (thicker ones at that) - but still a great image. Maybe zoom in on the BMW a bit more? Nah, it's fine where it is, nevermind!

Great photo :)
