Restormel Castle, Bodmin

Restormel castle lies just to the north of Lostwithiel village, overlooking the River Fowey. It was built around 1100, making Restormel one of the oldest and best preserved Norman motte-and-bailey castles in Cornwall.Bodmin, Cornwall. 14 july 2007

Nice. I like the moods you capture with the urban B/W style. The girl with the tabloid newspaper makes the shot... nice punchy contrast. BTW... what gear (camera/lens combo) are you using, and are you shooting in B/W, or converting afterward, and if so, what photo software do you use?

A day in the life of a young model - here reviewing fashion shots with her talent agents from a recent photo shoot in Europe, after returning to the States. She always knew where the camera was... (From my film archives, this is a small web-sized scan.)

Hello all, some great pictures at the moment, keep it up everyone! Haven't posted since way back on 228 but starting from now im gonna try to post regularly.

Ok this one is of my sister taken at home with only a window providing direct light from the left handside. Taken on my 400d with an old manual Zeis 50mm f1.8 MC via eos adapter. I love this little lens, it's pin sharp and has a great depth of field. Any comments/criticism are more than welcome!

JDN Yet again Freebooter, great shot. How do you get close enough without the bugs running away??

Thanks! a) some bugs aren't so shy; b) the lens I use gives the bugs some room; c) sometimes I do scare the bugs away; d) moving really slow can help a lot; e) the insects are usually more sluggish on rainy days

While she looks very pretty, she does the same thing just about all models do when posing: not a smile in sight :(.

Thanks. I use a Canon 400D with the 50mm f/1.8 and I shoot RAW. I then use Lightroom to convert it to black and white.

Relaxin' @ the Beach

I was on the Jersey Shore this weekend and got to the beach early enough to avoid the masses of people and allow myself some good opportunities to take some photos. This is my first daytime beach photo...Suggestions/comments welcome!
