My cat will not allow me to date. When ever a lady comes over the cat starts hissing, and oh don't even think about having a lady sit next to me on the couch. Last time that happened blood was drawn.

She is a really good quiet cat, but she gets really protective.

Scubajay: What did you get an award for?

I stopped a drunken drugged up maniac from jumping in front of 2 express trains....It seemed like a good idea at the time but afterwards I realised how close I came to meeting my maker.

The citation I have in my hand reads:

"The following officers are commended for their bravery and professionalism when they attended Waltham Cross Station on 23rd April 2007. They noticed a man standing on the track 40 yards outside of the station, directly in line of an oncoming express train from Stansted Airport. Both officers showed immense bravery in tackling the male, seeking to stop the train and removing him from the track, thus effectively saving his life.

PC Neilus is commended for his bravery and calmness in life threatening circumstances at Waltham Cross Station, when he ran to the man on the tracks and removed him from the path of the train. PC Neilus was then joined by PC Shuttleworth and together they subdued and arrested the man who had been drinking and was violent and abusive.

PC Shuttleworth is commended for his bravery and calmness in life threatening circumstances at Waltham Cross Station when, having alerted the driver of the train to the imminent danger, he joined PC Neilus and together they subdued and arrested the man."

It was a nice day out actually. Lots of nice finger food, schmoozing with the bosses and a chance for Miss Scubajay to wear a new sexy dress!!!!:D

Wow! I really am in awe of your good deed! That took cool thinking and much bravery. Email me a handshake; I'll be proud to have it.

Thanks for the high praise!! As it happens it took no thinking at all......I had done it before I realised what I was doing, and about 2 hours before the reality of my close shave hit me.I felt funny about just about everything for a few days afterwards and I actually got told off by my colleagues (as well as my Mum and my GF!!).

Here is my girlfriend and I at an after party of a surf contest I won from summer 07. Spent the entire winnings at the bar that night. Good friends and good times, well worth it.
