And another more "civilian" one ;) :

My fiancée and me on the Ponte Vecchio in Florence, Italy. I'm the one on the left, of course. She lives in the UK, so when we get married this fall I am moving to London :)

Here's a picture of my wife and I at a friend's engagement ceremony. My wife and I are on the left (looking at the picture); I'm the one in the black, and my wife is wearing the tan shirt.

Are the 2 people on the right the ones getting engaged? The dress on that girl looks like the dress Alice wears in 'Alice in Wonderland', except your friend's is pink. Is that dress considered unconventional in Japan, or is a yukata considered too old fashioned?

Yes, they are the couple who are engaged. And yes, that dress is unconventional. The gal you see there does her own thing when it comes to clothing!

Several Japanese-only couples have been engaged/married at my church, but none have ever worn a yukata or kimono during the ceremony.

Me and the lady last summer at my house in Lawrence,KS

We both go to KU and she just got back from a few weeks in Italy

that second picture is really nice, your partners eyes/your facial expression really convey the emotion, how long have you been together?
