I totally understand people's concerns about salt, mud, dust, heavy rain, dirty roads...
And before you know it, the sports cars only come out euhm... when exactly?

I've happily driven my sports car all Winter, no matter the temperatures going low as -10°C and with my roof top open (unless snow was falling). Let's hope a few runs through the pouring rain in Spring will wash away the salt :D

You make a valid point, absolutely. I personally am only concerned with the salt. If I had a sports car I wouldn't be concerned with the rest of that. They all happen.

I made it 6 winters with my 2008 Scion tC but I was ready for something a little larger that could handle the snow and my longer commute to work. I traded in the tC and decided on the Santa Fe after many test drives at various dealerships.

Hyundai has really become a top notch brand. Awesome car.

I don't care about any of the listed except salt.

As mentioned earlier 2013 (2014 in the US) Kia Sorento.

Got the Diesel Auto version, bit of a change from the 2012 WRX but change of circumstances required it.

Its a great great drive

^Gah can't have people know eachother IRL on the forums!

:D

If I were to buy an SUV, that would be the one I get. I just hope my future wife abhors them as much as I do and would rather have a Panamera or BMW wagon. Or instead of having kids get a Ferrari and cruise with her in my arm sipping Macchiato's ;-)

A few new pictures after a wash today. This was the first time I was impressed by the mediocre camera on my Nexus 4. Of course, it had a little help from the Snapseed app. I can't wait to put my new exhaust and CF rear diffuser on. Hopefully this weekend.

I miss the bare alloy, chrome, sports cars, sedans used to have. Black is hideous!

Can't remember if the 1M comes with it all blacked out, but it's an option pack on most new BMWs and Audi's, to black all the chrome.

Agreed, the blacked out thing is really played out.

Nothing looks crappier than black wheels IMO...really makes a car look like a cheap pile. Same goes with blacked out chrome trim etc...base model cars come with black trim...I think the new BMW 3 series offers a sport line where they give you black side mirrors...last I checked the bottom run Jetta had black side mirrors because it's a sign of cheapness. Not sure why people pay more to make their car look like a base model...but yeah, black wheels look like spare tires.

Been driving nothing but pickup trucks since 1998. The current ride:

I remember reading your rant on this, really solidified my opinion.
