Are you using the front facing camera? If so, those images will be flipped when you take them so they are not mirrored.

lOL only the ones you take with the front camera right? When using the camera on the face what you see on the screen before you take the photo is actually mirrored. the image is actually only correct when the iphone flips it around after the photo is taken

mine is the same way. on the view finder it looks normal, but after actually snapping the picture and viewing it, it looks mirrored. same thing goes for videos. any ideas?

Oh, so the viewing of yourself before the actual picture is the mirrored one, and the picture you take is correct? That's strange...

it makes perfect sense just the way it is. After the photo is taken it is CORRECT. While you are looking at yourself setting up the photo it is backwards just like when you look in a mirror. Think about how it would mess you up if it flipped the image before you took the photo while you were setting up the shot. Your right hand would be on the left, the arm you would be using to hold the camera would come out of the wrong side of the image and automatically if you wanted more of your right side in the camera you would automatically swing the screen towards the wrong side because we are so used to using mirrors that it is only second nature... Your mind is trained to see yourself and the things behind you in the exact way that the iphone is set up right now and This is not incorrect in any way.
