Noticed some weird behavior…I take a picture then quickly switch to the camera roll to preview it. Sometimes the picture will be out of focus in the camera roll and then a half second later it will come into focus. Could this be something to do with the new photographic styles in iOS 15? Or maybe a bug?

Noticed this too on my 13 Pro Max. I upgraded from a XS Max on iOS 15. Didn’t have this issue. Maybe it’s the 13’s? Checked with a friend and he said his also does it.

This is image post-processing. Basically Smart HDR + Deep Fusion taking place.

Thanks for confirming. I had thought that could be the case but rejected it because I would have thought with all of the power of the iPhone 13 Pro, it would have done this post-processing in the background, just as suggested in the linked thread.

its showing it to you on the phone in hdr also which can be confusing when you share with people on non hdr devices
