Pictures or Video on SMS

I recently got an iPhone. One thing that I cannot do ( and hopefully it is me) is receive graphics or video via instant messaging. Do they have to be attached to an email? Anyone know another way?

instant messaging? like beejive? can't.

it won't work in email i believe, but i use swirlymms and people send me little animated graphics and i can view them just fine. not through the stocksms app though. You have to jailbreak to get swirly 🙂

the iphone does not support MMS natively.
