Both my wife and daughter tried to send me a picture yesterday and neither came through. I even phoned VZW to make sure we had plans that would allow this. They did confirm, but added that since I was not on 3G, but wifi, that it might not work.

Why would it matter if my signal came via wifi or 3G?

BTW - I never received either pic. WTH?

You need to be on the cellular network to receive a MMS. MMS is a cellular provider function, not something from the internet. Since you’re “only” on wifi, that’s why you never received it. Why aren’t you on 3G?

I don't know why we can't get 3G at home or at my office. My guess is that at home we are situated on hill that blocks the signal from the nearest tower. At work I suppose it's the building that blocks the signal to my phone. I have discussed the home problem with vzw and their solution is to buy a network extender.
