I haven't had a chance to play with the camera much yet, but here is a couple quick shots I took to have fun with it! Neither of these are using the new "Night Mode" - waiting for it to get darker out. :)

Here are a couple of low light shots from a theater. Shot on a pro max

Are you guys noticing grainy pics when there isn’t a great deal of light in normal shotting mode? Or is this normal? Don’t think I ever noticed it on my XS.
Yes! It’s really bad. My XS doesn’t do this and it looks quite adjusted and a great overall image. The front camera isn’t that great in dark settings; which is super unfortunate. Also notice the colors remind me a bit of android on the front camera selfies. Kinda washed out imo. They work great outside and in hdr environments but in normal they’re really washed out and brighten my brown beard to almost blonde. Kinda weird. If it’s gonna be like this I’m not a huge fan of this HDR thing. I love hdr; and it’s pretty in video and daytime photos outside. Indoors it doesn’t look good at all on the front camera. Back cam is a different story altogether.

I’ve figured some of the indoor/outdoor selfie shots out. If your photos look a bit grainy, or washed out (in dark lighting). Go to highlights, set it to negative 40-50. Your colors are back (because imo they don’t look as colorful on the front in daylight on skin) and a bit warm and more true to your skin tone. Sharpness, set to maybe 5-10.

Shouldn’t have to do that, but. Change is always weird to get used to and I remember hating my max when I got it, now I wish I had it this year as a front camera 😂 though the depth has gotten really insane on the front and doesn’t blur out my shirt anymore, that’s a plus!

Sounds like Apple’s answer to this issue might be the deep fusion feature coming later

some stunning photos...going out today so looking forward to trying it out more instead of just lounge pics.

I’m exited to take this to Disney next week. Can’t some great shots during the day but hoping for some great night shots at the Halloween Oogie Boogie bash
