Some iPhone 11 shots at Grand Teton National Park in July.
I still use dedicated cameras for certain things but the best camera is definitely the one you have with you...Who here have sold or stored their camera equipment since having the 11 pro? Is it really that good?
iPhone 11 Pro Max 2x camera has fantastic dynamic range. I didn’t test the 1x because I know it’s already good. But check this out. A very under exposed image becomes useable after lifting the exposure and shadows. I was Inside the mellow mushroom restaurant, I took a photo at f/2 on my iPhone and took it under exposed, then lifted the shadows. Pretty darn good in my opinion. There is noise, but it’s a useable image. This is maybe 10 stops if dynamic range... not sure.

Night mode: so, have any of you seen this yet? This image of the tree has 76 stacked images for the 30” exposure time. iOS 14 camera changes are definitely noticeable. Improved night mode exposure times. I have seen 38 stacked images so far, but not 78. I realize the exposure times per shot are shorter at higher iso, but the more stacks you have, the cleaner the image will be.
please share your night mode exposure times and image stacks. I’m using the app MetaPhoto to show the location and stacking of photo details. The app also tells you if the photo has been or used deep fusion as well. Hopefully you all will participate.
