Cute shots, but take a look at the door on the first shot. That's exactly what I'm talking about with Apple's over-aggressive noise reduction. It looks terrible and distracting. And that's not even a really low light shot. Or look closely at the carpet on the porcupine shot above. It looks like someone did Paint-By-Numbers on it. iPhone cameras did not used to exhibit this effect and I'm very sad they do now.

Oh my god, I thought I was the only one seeing this, especially after seeing the pictures taken during that professional photographers trip to Iceland.

I noticed this "watercolor" NR effect over the weekend when I was taking some pics of my daughter at a birthday part. It was a indoor pool party and at first I thought there was moisture on the lens causing this affect. Then I started wondering if it always like this on the the previous iPhones like my iP5 but because the resolution is higher on the iP6+, I just never noticed it until now.

I hate it as well, I would rather have the picture be more grainy when zooming in on a taken picture than have this watercolor type affect going on where my daughters face looks like she has been stuck into a painting.

I am hoping that with enough people complaining about it Apple will release a software update later on in one of the future iOS8 releases to either let the user turn it on/off or return it to the way it was before iOS8.

Again...they ruin a perfectly good super car by getting a convertible...chumps.

Maroon is gone. The owner sold it to upgrade to the orange one.

How recently was it sold? I just saw a Maroon convertible like two weekends ago. It was a gentleman at least 65-70 years old around Southside Works in Pittsburgh.

Apple: option for Noise Reduction reduction, please!

Definitely should be an option to lower the intensity. I can't imagine what printing a photo with any amount of this reduction would turn out like. Here's a cropped (pretty far in) image taken (ip 6) at dusk of a friend. Mosaic much?

On another note, I've attached a couple photos (square crops with a little in-phone editing) that did turn out rather nicely!

Right, they always were, that's why I'm upset with what I'm seeing now out of the 6/6 Plus camera. I'm saying it looks like they threw up their hands and gave in to the temptation because it's the "easy" way to eliminate grain, and it sucks. I personally would prefer to see the grain, you can always apply NR yourself later but once it's baked into the photo you're stuck with it, you can't back it off. I wish they would at least let you control the amount of NR applied, a slider or something. Bleh.

Posted a thread here with examples of the exact same thing. Driving me nuts.

Paying hundreds of dollars for a phone is absolutely worth it, if not just for the gloriously crisp cat pics hahaha

Not sure but I would say around spring.. He had the maroon one at the first few CnC meets this year then showed up in the Orange 650S... Perhaps the car is still local. The owner of the Orange one is probably in his early 50's.
