Other Pill shaped camera bump on i16?

How are the rumors suggesting a pill-shaped camera bump for iPhone 16? The iPhone 12 and 12 mini had vertical cameras with a square bump. I’ve seen something about precision alignment, but was the 12 not aligned properly?

Likely because many Android devices have a square shaped camera plateau.
