I've decided After seeing the new MacBook pros specs And Price, That I am going to just upgrade my 2012 MacBook Pro with the latest and greatest replacement parts. My goal would be to get just as good if not better than the MacBook pros that came out.

Help me Pimp out my Mac

Below will be the specs of my MacBook Pro. I want to replace everything that can be replaced if it can be upgraded to much higher specs. If I can match the MacBook Pro that is being sold now for an outrageous price. that would be awesome.

If you could, please list all the things you would include, not just one so I have an idea of exactly what I can replace. If you could, please include a link to where I can find the items you suggest.

FY: this computer will be used a lot for Live streaming using software for screen sharing and production, So I know this will require a lot of resources. Please keep that in mind when making your suggestions.

    TIA for your help

Upgrade the SSD (use transcend over OWC, its a better product), and buy a new battery, that's really all you can do. Apple doesn't give you much options to upgrade any more.

You can't really upgrade it, save the SSD. Which would be prohibitively expensive. Other than that, you mac is already maxed out.

I think OWC sells a 1TB drive for around 450$ or so?
