Be careful, it seems the issue of little pinhole dents on the screen as seen on other MacBooks impacts the Neo also. I have one on mine which has really annoyed me, not sure how it happened. I have AppleCare and I am going to Apple to see what they have to say.

That's exactly what I had on the Neo I returned. I don't how it happened as I was really very careful handling it. Was contemplating for a while and finally decided to try again. I am thinking of getting one of those thin microfiber cloths on Amazon that are advertised to protect the screen from keyboard imprints. Anybody here have any experience on those?

Try getting that kind of service on a Chromebook or cheap Windows laptop.

Apple can suck in a lot of ways but when they do the right thing after sale it always makes me happy!
I would not expect this experience to differ regardless of the make and model.

Actually most will do the same for something only a few weeks old.
Not after the return window. I have tried replacing under warranty few times for non Apple devices, but couldn’t and thank god for return policy or Costco who take back stuff for genuine reasons beyond return window.

To get back on topic, I was using my replacement Neo and was surprised to find a pinhole dent in the exact same spot! I hadn’t moved the Neo; it remained on my desk, and I only gently opened it a few times. The dent is approximately 4.5 inches from the right edge of the screen and 4.5 inches from the top edge. These measurements are approximate since I no longer have the Neo.

The pinhole mark isn’t easily noticeable. You’ll need to shine a bright light on your screen and carefully brush off the tiny dust specks around it to reveal it. I also checked and felt the spot on the keyboard where the pinhole would have been etched, but I didn’t notice any sharpness or protrusions.

Examining the dent closely, it appears quite flat, with only the small pinhole mark. It doesn’t seem to have been made from the outer screen; it could be under the screen itself but it's hard to tell with the naked eye.

One thing to note is that I only had the indigo version, and I haven’t tried the other colours, so I’m not sure if that matters.

For those dismissing this as another case of a compulsive disorder, you can, but some of us Apple consumers deserve the quality we expect.

In any case, I believe this is a manufacturing defect that should be addressed.
