Pink screen on new Al MP

HI.
First post here.

I have a new macbook 2.4 Ghz but have a problem.
I've had it less than 2 weeks, after my old laptop had to go back (new as well)

When I turn it out, after closing the lid, or wake it from sleep.
It has lots of pink lines on the screen. They are getting bigger and start at the top of the screen where the time and logo on the bar is.
also, it likes to take the outline of the edges of the picture on my desktop picture.

Will I have to send this in to get it fixed, or can i do something>

I think you will have to get it looked at as that sounds like a hardware problem. It's under warranty, so take it to a local apple store or call apple support.

OK, just got off the phone with apple.
I did a battery reset and it looks to be doing ok now.

actually its still doing it!
i'm going to call them again and see what happens.......

if its not fixable they're getting it back! AGAIN
