so i just bought pinnacle video capture for mac(i would have gotten canopus, but aluminum macbooks don't HAVE firewire) and i just recorded video game footage for a quick test, and anytime there is a loud noise there is a static sound. any idea on how to fix this?

Turn down the input audio level. Sounds like the peak is above the limit of the capture card.

I'm having this same exact problem, how would I go about turning down my input audio level?

I don't see any options at all for this capture card...I just start pinnacle video capture, connect video, connect audio, and record.

(also, anyone know if you can capture directly from iMovie?)

Sound Problem

I had the same problem see i play Modern warfare 2 xbox 360 and i figured out that you can resolve this problem by turning down the in-game volume but on a game like halo that does not have this option i just streamed sound to GarageBand and put it together in Imovie

Here is a link to a video i put on youtube for a test of Call of Duty 5: WaW
